As a cloud-based service, BILBY supports a wide variety of clubs and organizations. The actions of any individual user can impact our entire system. To ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, all BILBY users must follow this Acceptable Use Policy. If you violate this policy, we may suspend or terminate your account.

When we use the word “send” in this policy, we mean any action that involves uploading, posting, emailing, or using BILBY to host or transmit content.

Prohibited Actions and Content

To keep our platform secure and trustworthy, we ask that you do your part by avoiding the following:

  • Unlawful or harmful use: You must use the Service for lawful purposes only. Do not use BILBY for any activities that could lead to physical harm, death, or personal injury. You may not provide access to the Service to anyone under the age of 13.
  • Malicious software: Do not store or transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious software.
  • Intellectual property infringement: Do not use BILBY to infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. This includes unauthorized use of text, photos, graphics, and other content.
  • Misleading information: Do not host or transmit false, inaccurate, or intentionally deceptive information that is likely to cause public harm.
  • Misleading account details: Do not use misleading or incorrect names, addresses, or email addresses. You must register your account with a valid email and may not use temporary email addresses, bots, or other automated methods.
  • Unauthorized access: Do not share your password. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or access another user’s data or account.
  • Content hosting: Do not use our servers to host content for any purpose other than for use within your BILBY account features.
  • System abuse: Do not decipher, decompile, or disassemble any of our software or use it to create a competing product. Do not delete, bulk unsubscribe, or modify your member database to avoid billing thresholds.

Community and Email Safety

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. Your actions should not harm others or our platform.

  • Harassment and violence: Do not use our Services to bully, harass, threaten, or attack others. This includes organizing or inciting violence, terrorism, or property damage.
  • Hate speech: Do not use our Services for hate speech or to promote abuse based on a person’s ethnicity, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
  • Graphic material: Do not include graphic violent material or pornography. We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse content and will report any instances to law enforcement.
  • Spam: Do not send spam. Spam is defined as “unsolicited bulk email.” You are responsible for ensuring that your email campaigns do not generate excessive spam complaints or bounce rates. If we determine that your rates are higher than industry standards, we may suspend or terminate your account. We may also request additional information to help you resolve the problem.
  • Brand reputation: If your use of the Services causes damage to our brand or reputation, or results in an excessive volume of complaints, we have the right to suspend or terminate your account.

User Content and Compliance

  • Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content that you and your users create, upload, and transmit through BILBY.
  • Our right to review: We are not obligated to monitor your content. However, you acknowledge and agree that we reserve the right to review and remove any content that we believe, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms. We may also perform spot checks of content for operational and other purposes.
  • Industry regulations: If your use of our Services requires you to comply with industry-specific regulations, you are solely responsible for that compliance.

Storage, Bandwidth, and Spam

  • File storage: Every BILBY account includes a limit on the amount of file storage you can use. If you need more space, you can upgrade your storage for a fee. Please note that these fees may change over time, and we may place a cap on how much you can upgrade.
  • Spam: Preventing spam is crucial for maintaining the integrity and reputation of our service. For this reason, you may only use BILBY to send emails to people who have given you explicit permission to contact them. This includes individuals who:
    • Have given you written or electronic permission within the last 12 months and have not withdrawn that permission.
    • Provided their name and email address in connection with a purchase or negotiation within the last 12 months and have not opted out of receiving your emails.
